Since the time my three children were babies The Berenstain Bears were a part of our family. We have shared so many of the books as bedtime stories and just read them for plain fun! We have the playsets, the stuffed animals and have even seen them when they were part of a theme park many years ago. But, we have never seen them live. Our family is really looking forward to this one! It will be great to see Mama, Papa, Sister and Brother as they share Berenstain Bears Live Family Matters!
The Berenstain Bears will be coming to life in New York City for a limited summer engagement! The Berenstain Bears LIVE Family Matters, the Musical will begin performances on Saturday, June 25, open on July 3 and run through September 4, 2011 at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (MMAC), 248 West 60 Street between Amsterdam and West End Avenue.
The Berenstain Bears LIVE Family Matters, the Musical is presented by Matt Murphy Productions. Adapted from the classic children’s book series by Stan and Jan Berestain, The Berenstain Bears LIVE Family Matters, the Musical brings everyone’s favorite bear family to life. An entertaining and heart-warming new musical for Mamas, Papas, and Young Cubs in NYC, The Berenstain Bears LIVE! will give boys and girls of all ages the chance to fall in love with these characters, just as their parents did when they were growing up.The Berestain Bears LIVE! features an original score by Michael Borton and a book by Borton and Michael Slade.
